DEIRA ENRICHMENT PROJECT

Deira is one of the oldest communities in Dubai, rich with traditions and culture. It has been one of the most important areas of Dubai since the city’s founding, and continues to be to this day. The Deira Enrichment Project (DEP) Masterplan envisions to retain these traditions and cultures, which are the foundations of Deira, and incorporate them in the revitalization of the Waterfront area.

The DEP Masterplan concept is to expand the urban fabric of the existing Deira community towards the waterfront. Retaining the architectural themes, business activities, and designs similar to the characteristics that make up Deira currently, the DEP Masterplan promotes a real sense of community, preserving the spirit of trade and entrepreneurship, and enhancing social interaction amongst residents.
